Session Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize the clinical features and red flags of common and vision-threatening pediatric corneal diseases that require urgent ophthalmic evaluation;
2. Identify the roles of pediatricians and multidisciplinary specialists—including ophthalmology, genetics, rheumatology, infectious disease, dermatology, neurology, and rehabilitation—in the diagnosis and management of pediatric corneal disorders;
3. Discuss current and emerging treatment strategies for pediatric corneal disease, including medical, surgical, and regenerative therapies, and understand how early multidisciplinary intervention can prevent lifelong corneal blindness and visual disability.
