Learning Objectives 

1.            Describe an approach to discussing obesity with patients in a non-judgmental manner, and addressing underlying pathophysiology as well as non- biological contributions to elevated BMI

2.            Describe pathophysiology of obesity with particular emphasis on relationship to energy homeostasis

3.            Discuss impact of obesity stigma and provider approaches to mitigating this in the clinic encounter
