This case was chosen due to the unique considerations that must be assessed and addressed for patients presenting
multiple times for the same chief complaint or with a new increase in frequency of presentation. This case also
involves the coordination of an interdisciplinary team (PERT), and is an opportunity to assess communication
between teams.
The second case was chosen due to the need for considering changes in patient status and prompt response to
unexpected changes in patient stability in the ED.
