- Recognize the triggers and features of immediate-type systemic hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, based on patient/clinical care history
- Understand fundamentals of different mechanisms of immediate-type hypersensitivity reactions
- Initiate targeted, optimal yield initial evaluation based on nature and severity of reaction. Provide appropriate patient-centered education and contingency.
- Determine appropriate urgency of subspecialty referral based on clinical presentation.
