Objectives:

1) State that cancer-focused organizations now recommend geriatric assessments for all older adults with cancer undergoing systemic treatments. 

2) Discuss the evidence behind the above guidelines. 

3) Understand current barriers to implementing geriatrics in oncologic care and strategies to overcome these barriers.
