Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
1) Identify which patients are at risk of nonconvulsive seizures and warrant EEG monitoring;
2) Interpret EEG reports, including ones on the ictal-interictal continuum, recognize basic EEG patterns and determine which findings require urgent or aggressive treatment; and
3) Manage clinical and nonconvulsive seizures in the critically ill more effectively, including avoiding overtreatment.
