LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Participants will understand the importance of perioperative glycemia management and maintenance of target blood glucose levels in neurosurgical patients.
  • Participants will be able to evaluate the risk of perioperative hyper- and hypoglycemia in different groups of neurosurgical patients.
  • Participants will be able to provide effective perioperative glycemia monitoring and correction of severe hyperglycemia.
