Learning Objectives:

1. Clarify the patient’s diagnostic timeline with a chronological review of her prior imaging.
2. Highlight the strengths of various imaging modalities in the diagnosis of compression fractures. When is XR, CT, vs MRI highest yield, and how should PCPs decide?  
3. How can radiographic features inform decisions around pain management? (e.g. your point that we should see marrow edema/acute fracture to target for kyphoplasty)
4. Definine osteoporosis and understand diagnostic criteria, including how to define a fragility fracture.
5. Review secondary causes of osteoporosis, including “can’t miss” etiologies in patients under 65.
6. Provide framework on when to refer to endocrine, and benefits and limitations of an endocrinology referral.
