Learning objectives:
1. Participants will gain a more comprehensive understanding of the nature of high containment (biosafety level four) viral research, learning about the processes, constraints, and research opportunities involved.

2. Participants will learn about henipavirus infection in respiratory and other tissue cell types.

3. Participants will learn about the under-investigated potential relevance of filoviruses to pulmonary disease.
