Target Audience

Primary care physicians, internists, family practice physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Recognize foundational terminology re: affirming care, gender, identity
  • Appraise the impacts of systemic, societal and personal traumas on the transgender & gender diverse (TGD) population
  • Summarize the intersection of TGD experience and SUD
  • Engage clinically with Trans and Gender Diverse people in affirming care
