Learning Objectives

At the end of this activity, the learner or the healthcare team should be able to:

  •  Describe current research on the etiology, pathogenesis, metastasis and treatment of head and neck cancer;
  • Apply innovative therapeutic approaches to the treatment of head and neck cancer patients with particular emphasis on immunotherapy and precision medicine;
  • Identify the translational gap whereby advances in research are not translated into clinical applications that directly benefit patient health.
