Oncology health care providers must constantly adjust to changes in cancer care related to the rapid pace of research and evolving rules and regulations affecting practice and payment. These changes can influence clinical guidelines and best practices in cancer care. They may lead to changes in how providers run their practices and patients navigate treatment options. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased demands on providers to keep up while continuing to provide their patients the care they need.

  3. Explain changes in ABIM requirements for the maintenance of certification. 
  4. Describe the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients. 
  5. Examine how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected their ability to achieve work-life balance.
