Educational Needs Addressed
In this meeting, PNQIN reviewed the latest updates in OBGYN care including data analyzation, current state and federal policies, how to improve patient-centered education and how to apply evidence-based guidelines. The goal is to improve attendees understanding of maternal and neonatal care and improving treatment for patients and families.
Target Audience
PNQIN providers including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives, psychologists, and social workers.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity participants will be better able to:
- Utilize current maternal and neonatal data to assess gaps in care and guide quality improvement initiatives.
- Integrate updated state and federal policies and regulations into clinical practice for the care of pregnant individuals,
- Evaluate and implement strategies to improve equity, safety, and patient-centered care, including effective communication, care transitions, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Incorporate evidence-based practices for emerging maternal and neonatal clinical challenges, including vaccination updates, neonatal respiratory care, and neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome.
- Develop and implement system-level improvements through collaboration, quality improvement methodologies, and alignment with statewide initiatives and legislative changes.
