PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will demonstrate increased knowledge of the clinical signs and symptoms of FASD and options for screening children and adolescents for FASD.

PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will demonstrate increased self-efficacy in addressing the needs of children and adolescents with suspected or diagnosed FASD and their families, including patient education, shared decision making and referrals to community resources.

PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will report increased use of appropriate methods of identifying and addressing suspected FASD in children and adolescents and their families.

Target Audience

Primary Care Physicians, Specialty physicians, Psychologists, Physician assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Utilize standardized developmental screening and surveillance
  • List clinical red flags for FASD
  • Summarize the key aspects of a FASD-focused physical exam
  • Summarize key principles of discussing FASD concerns with family and make an appropriate referral
  • Identify the services needed AND REVIEW THE REPORT
