PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will demonstrate increased knowledge of the clinical signs and symptoms of FASD and options for screening children and adolescents for FASD.

PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will demonstrate increased self-efficacy in addressing the needs of children and adolescents with suspected or diagnosed FASD and their families, including patient education, shared decision making and referrals to community resources.

PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will report increased use of appropriate methods of identifying and addressing suspected FASD in children and adolescents and their families.

Primary Care Physicians, Specialty physicians, Psychologists, Physician assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe the role of the referring clinician in supporting family through the referral process
  • Summarize opportunities to support families while they wait for the evaluation
  • Summarize how to review an evaluation and implement the recommendations
