PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will demonstrate increased knowledge of the clinical signs and symptoms of FASD and options for screening children and adolescents for FASD.
PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will demonstrate increased self-efficacy in addressing the needs of children and adolescents with suspected or diagnosed FASD and their families, including patient education, shared decision making and referrals to community resources.
PCPs participating in the ECHO Pediatric Program will report increased use of appropriate methods of identifying and addressing suspected FASD in children and adolescents and their families.
PCP and their teams will be able to:
Summarize the prevalence of alcohol use during pregnancy and among women of childbearing age.
Articulate the potential results of PAE and FASD.
Implement screening for FASD
Provide referrals and interventions in response to the screening results. PCPs will learn how to support a family through the referral process after a diagnosis of FASD
