Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Identify key clinical features in patients with chronic pain and/or SUD that inform accurate diagnosis and risk assessment.
  • Analyze common clinical scenarios involving chronic pain and SUD to determine appropriate diagnostic and management strategies.
  • Apply evidence-based principles to the management of patients with chronic pain and co-occurring SUDs in the primary care setting.
  • Integrate practical clinical insights from case discussions into individualized care plans that balance pain management, patient safety, and SUD treatment.
