Primary care physicians, internists, family practice physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Explain principles and strategies for managing patients with inherited pain conditions on opioid therapy, showing understanding of tailored approaches
  • Develop and apply individualized, controlled tapering plans to ensure safe opioid withdrawal
  • Evaluate risks and benefits of initiating long-acting opioids with short-acting rescue meds, making informed decisions for pain control
