Target Audience

Primary care physicians, internists, family practice physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Apply evidence-based practice and individualized tapering strategies to manage chronic pain safely while minimizing opioid-related risks.
  • Analyze and synthesize clinical data and patient-specific factors (including risk of opioid misuse) to formulate a practical management plan.
  • Develop patient-specific monitoring plans for opioid and chronic pain management by creating an “Educational To-Do List” with the Mentor.
