What systems do school nurse managers use to ensure CSHS funds are utilized appropriately?
This course is designed for nurse leaders in districts that have received funding through the CSHS grant. This course is designed to build confidence and competence in managing the CSHS budget. Topics covered include understanding your district’s CSHS grant scope, allowable expenses, working with your business office to create solid tracking systems, amending and reconciling your grant expenses, and meeting grant timelines and requirements.
Prerequisite: Review the self-paced CSHS Grant Orientation training materials

Karen Robitaille is the Director of the School Health Unit. Prior to taking her post at the School Health Unit, she directed the Health, Safety and Equity Programs for the Northampton Public schools and brings her on-the-ground expertise to this topic.

Juliet Berk has managed grants and contracts for various MPDH departments for 12 years. She joined the School Health Unit in 2020 and manages all grants and contracts for the Unit. During the school year, Juliet will be your go-to person for budget questions.
